Laila Morse exits Dancing On Ice

EastEnders star Laila Morse has become the second person to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice, after the remaining eight celebrities had competed in the show for the first time.

The 66-year-old - who was the oldest celebrity taking part in the series - had battled against a shoulder injury in order to compete with partner Lukasz Rozycki.

However her time on the show was cut short when she found herself competing in the skate-off against Hollywood actor Corey Feldman.

And after the pair had reprised their routines - Laila skating to the 60s classic My Guy, Corey to Bryan Adams' Summer of '69 - the judges were unanimous in who they wanted to save.

"I'm going for the strongest performance overall in the skate-off and that was Corey," Louie Spence said, while Katarina Witt added, "For the sake of Laila's health I am going for Corey."

Robin Cousins completed the trio of votes, saying he was "excited" to see what the actor would come up with in future weeks.

Earlier in the show Laila had finished bottom of the judges' scoreboard, picking up just 9.5 points for her performance.

However the judges had praised her for her courage in completing the role despite the pain caused by her shoulder.

"Overall considering your injury it wasn't a bad performance," Louie told her, while Robin added, "I wouldn't have known, if it hadn't been for the VT, that there was an injury problem, as an actress you worked through it."

Six other celebrities - Jennifer Ellison, Rosemary Conley, Sebastien Foucan, Chico Slimani, Sam Nixon and Matthew Wolfenden - made it through to next Sunday's show following the public vote.
