Ray Quinn: 'I was blown away when he said my name'

Ray Quinn has admitted Dancing On Ice was the 'toughest competition he's ever entered.

The 20-year-old winner of the show - who has also been runner-up on X Factor - said he was terrified when he was waiting to hear if he'd beaten Donal McIntyre.

The West End star, who skated with Maria Filippov, told The Sun: "I was so nervous. I really wanted to win this competition. I had my head buried in Maria's hair, thinking, 'Please, say a name.' When [Phillip Schofiel] said my name I was blown away."

Ray, who is dating actress Emma Stephens, also joked that he'll be jealous of whoever skates with Maria in the next series.

"Yes, I'll be jealous. I'll be like, 'Listen, don't you be forgetting me, Maria!'"

Ray added that he and Maria 'are friends for life'.

"Working with her is a privilege," he said.
