Eurovision dance triumph for Poland

Poland have won the second Eurovision Dance Contest , which was held in Glasgow on Saturday night.
The duo of Polish actor Marcin Mroczek and dancer Edyta Herbus scored 154 points with their energetic routine, which fused rumba, cha cha and modern dance moves and was performed to a medley of Michael Jackson songs.
Russia finished in second place with 121 points, while Ukraine were third with 119. Lithuania and contest newcomers Azerbaijan completed the top five.
The United Kingdom - represented by dancer Vincent Simone and actress Louisa Lytton, who partnered each other in the 2006 series of Strictly Come Dancing, finished in ninth place with 46 points.
Although the UK never came close to the top of the scoreboard, they performed better than the country has in recent song contests, and received points from all but a handful of the other participants.
The scores were compiled from a mix of televoting and votes from a judging panel. Initially this left Denmark in the lead after they received top marks from all four judges.
However they eventually finished sixth. Last year's winners Finland came tenth, while Ireland were 11th with just 40 points.
But it was the Netherlands who landed bottom of the heap - their routine, which featured singing as well as dancing, scored just one point, putting them a full 28 points behind Austria in second last place.
The show, which took place at the SECC in Glasgow, was hosted by Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman. Strictly Come Dancing judges Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood were the UK commentators.
