Eurovision hopeful Josh begins long drive to Oslo

British Eurovision hopeful Josh Dubovie is due to begin a 36-hour journey to Oslo to avoid disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud.

Josh, 19, will be performing the UK's entry, That Sounds Good to Me at the finals on May 29 and is due to arrive in the Norwegian capital on Saturday in good time for rehearsals at the Telenor Arena, according to BBC Online.

That Sounds Good to Me has been written by Pete Waterman and Mike Stock, the brains behind Kylie's early hits.

Josh was chosen by the public to represent the UK when he appeared on Your Country Needs You back in March.

Last year's UK entrant, Jade Ewen, came fifth with It's My Time written by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Phil Parsons, the BBC's executive producer for Eurovision, said: "Last week with the BA strike looming and the ash cloud heading towards us, I decided that flying was just too big a risk.

"Josh gets his first rehearsal on the Oslo stage on Saturday afternoon and we just can't afford to miss it.

"It'll take more than a volcano to stop us!"
