*US actress Linda Evans won the third series of Hell's Kitchen*

'Hell hath no fury like a head chef scorned…' as eight brand-new celebrities are about to find out!

Hot-tempered Michelin-starred chef Marco Pierre White – aka the Godfather of Cooking – is the man in charge as the famous faces attempt to show off their culinary skills in a fourth generous helping of the reality show.

The last series of Hell's Kitchen, in 2007, got heated both in and out of the kitchen. Boyband singer Lee Ryan quit after just three days following a row with Marco and 'comic' Jim Davison was ejected after it was alleged he'd made homophobic remarks towards Big Brother 2 winner Brian Dowling.

But there was triumph as well as tears as the series ended with boxer Barry McGuigan being crowned the winner – well, would you tell him he couldn't cook?

So, who's doing the cooking this year? Well, you can expect anarchy in the kitchen as Ade Edmondson - best known for playing punk rocker Vyvyan in The Young Ones - is taking part. Other stars include rapper Ms Dynamite (Tee-Hee) and ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce David Grobbelaar. But will he have safe hands in the kitchen?

Claudia Winkleman replaces Angus Deayton on presenting duties this time round (surely his jokes weren't that bad?) and will bring us all the action from the east London restaurant as the trainee chefs are challenged to prepare food worthy of the Marco seal of approval.

For the first time on Hell's Kitchen, all eight chefs will work in one kitchen and each night the two stars that have failed to impress Marco will be banished into the restaurant to wait on tables.

This time round, Marco will have the power to sack those who can't cut it in the kitchen - but, rest assured, viewers will get to choose the show's outright winner.

Who will follow in the footsteps of Barry and first celebrity series winner, actress Jennifer Ellison, and be crowned champion of Hell's Kitchen 2009?
