Gordon Ramsay reignites feud with Marco

Gordon Ramsay has reignited his feud with Marco Pierre White - calling his Michelin-starred rival 'a little bit sad'.

The foul-mouthed chef, 43, said he watched Nigella Lawson's cookery programmes and caught up with recordings of Jamie Oliver 'maybe at two or three in the morning'.

But he told the Radio Times he would switch channel to avoid the Kitchen Burnout star, saying that he looked 'like someone from the Taliban'.

He said: "Having been there and worked with him I know that he was an amazing chef, so when I see him philosophising, as opposed to cooking his arse off - being the real Marco - I find it a little bit sad.

"When I see him sat there looking like someone from the Taliban with that rag on the top of his head it makes me laugh. But then I want to see him cook."

The enmity between the two chefs dates back to the 1980s when Gordon, then a novice, was apparently reduced to tears while working for Marco.

Later Gordon, who starred in the first series of Hell's Kitchen, staged the theft of the reservations book from Aubergine in London, where he was then head chef, and blamed Marco, who took over Hell's Kitchen in 2007.

Last year Marco said: "Everything Gordon does is contrived, unnatural, derivative. He does as he's told. He's not original.

"Unlike Gordon, I'm not in the business of swearing, belittling and putting people down."
