Id Do Anything

Andrew Lloyd Webber returns to Saturday nights with a talent search to find four new stars for Cameron Mackintosh's stage revival of Oliver!

Who could ask for more?!

Following the success of How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? And Any Dream Will Do, which found a new Maria and Joseph for London's West End, the hunt is on for a new talent for the role of Nancy and three bright young things who'll take it in turns to play orphaned urchin Oliver in a revamp of Lionel Bart's hit musical.

The first two shows will feature the tough audition process then it's on to the live shows. Each week, Graham Norton hosts as the final 12 girls and 12 boys do everything to impress both Lord Lloyd Webber and Mackintosh, plus judges Denise van Outen, John Barrowman and Barry Humphries, who will be scrutinising the performances.

While the young Olivers can perform safe in the knowledge that they will avoid the trauma of the public vote, the 12 Nancys must inspire both the judges and the viewers at home, who will vote for their favourite until a winner is chosen in the grand final.

And Lord Lloyd Webber knows exactly what he's looking for. "I hope our Nancy will be so genuine and so new that she will completely take people apart," he says. "And Oliver was a feisty street kid, so he has to be extraordinarily convincing. I want our kids to reflect the real streets of our inner cities."

Connie Fisher and Lee Mead shot to stardom by winning the Maria and Joseph contests - which of the Nancys and Olivers will prove to be stars in the making?
