I'd Do Anything: Jodie eyes her leading man
03/06/2008 - 11:30

I'd Do Anything champ Jodie Prenger has revealed which leading man she would like to star opposite her Nancy.
The 28-year-old from Blackpool landed the role of the feisty barmaid in Cameron Mackintosh's West End revival of the hit musical Oliver! after winning the BBC1 talent show on Saturday night
And when asked who she could see as her love interest Bill Sikes in the musical, Jodie joked: "Well I've put in a request for George Clooney, but I'm still waiting for a reply."
Although Jodie still doesn't know who will play Bill - names in the frame have been Danny Dyer, former Torchwood star Burn Gorman and DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles - she is very excited about those who have been cast.
"I mean, there's Rowan Atkinson as Fagin, and Bullseye the dog, and the Olivers, what more can you ask for?"
The three Olivers who will share the title role - Gwion, 11, Laurence, 11, and 12-year-old Harry - were also chosen on the programme, and Jodie says having a bond with them will be a big help while working on the new production.
"I'm sure it will be," she said. "Gwion, Laurence and Harry are all brilliant - as were the rest of the Olivers. It was so hard to pick between them and they all did their families proud."
