Gino D'Acampo: 'I really hope Jedward do go in'
As a bunch of unlucky celebrities prepare for the jungle, I'm A Celebrity's reigning champion, This Morning chef Gino D'Acampo tells us all about camp life...

What advice would you give to the celebrities about to 'enjoy' the I'm A Celebrity experience?
"You can't prepare for it! You don't realise how hot it is, how uncomfortable it is and how much the lack of food affects you. I would say just be yourself and embrace the experience!"

Did you enjoy doing the show?
"I loved every minute, from the moment my cast got on board that boat to the last day when I won, I only have happy memories. I'm really grateful to ITV for it."

Do you think being a chef in the camp gave you an advantage?
"It certainly makes you more popular! If you're the guy feeding everybody, you'll always make friends."

Are you still in touch with your campmates?
"All of them apart from Sabrina, but that's just because I don't have her number. I loved everyone, but I got on best with George Hamilton because he was in the Godfather and I was in awe of him. I see or speak to most of the guys regularly."

Even Katie Price?
"If I see her at a party we'll have a conversation, but it's difficult because I am friends with Peter [Andre, Katie's ex husband]. If I had to choose between the two, Peter would always win."

There are lots of rumours as to who is going in this year. Linford Christie, Nigel Havers...
"I've heard David Cameron is going in. I have no idea about any of the rumours. I hope Jedward do go in, that would be great TV."

Wouldn't they be annoying to live with?
"No - they would be entertaining, you'd always have something to watch!"

When you came out last year you got into trouble from Australian police for cooking and eating a rat. Did that tarnish the experience for you?
"A little bit to be honest. But you have to respect them for doing their jobs. It's happened, it's in the past, so I just put it down to experience."
