Im A Celebrity Stacey Solomon: 'I'd love Simon to do the jungle!'
Nov 9, 2011

Why did you want to go into the jungle last year?
"I'm just rubbish at saying no to anything and I like to challenge myself, so as soon as they asked, I was like: 'Yep, I'll give it a go. I absolutely loved jumping out of a plane, it felt like I was flying."
What did you hope to get out of the experience?
"I always said if I was going in there, I'd have a go at everything. I met loads of good people and got to do things I never thought I'd do. It was a wicked experience – I wouldn't have changed it for the world."
Did you ever think you'd become such good friends with Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder?
"No. I remember when I first met him, I was like: 'He's the opposite of me, he will hate me.' But he's so genuine and enjoys being around genuine people so, even though we're complete opposites, we clicked straight away. I think he's brilliant."
How did it feel to be crowned Queen of the Jungle?
"The scariest thing about being in the jungle is not knowing what the viewers at home think of you; you could make it to the end and still be disliked. But to win was unbelievable – what a compliment!"
This is the 11th series of I'm A Celebrity. Who have been your favourite Kings or Queens of the Jungle?
"I think Christopher Biggins and Gino D'Acampo are my favourites. Gino is hilarious and you can't help but be happy around Biggins!"
Who would you like to see go into the jungle?
"I'd love to see Simon Cowell in there, but I'm sure he'd never do it. What would he struggle with? Not having any servants!"
Are you watching this year's X Factor?
"I love The X Factor, it's brilliant! No matter who's judging, who's on it, you watch it. I don't think it will ever lose its spark - millions are still watching it!"
You've certainly been in demand since you were on the show...
"When I was on the X Factor I never dreamed I'd get to do the things I'm doing at the minute. I'm such a lucky girl, so happy and privileged. I just hope it carries on."
We hear you're about to host a new dating show, The Love Machine?
"Yes, with the lovely Chris Moyles. I was really excited to work with him and he was excited to work with me! So there it was: a match made in heaven."
Aside from the dating show, what are your plans for the new year?
"Haven't got a clue yet. Wherever the party's at, I'll be there!"
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here starts on Sunday, November 13 at 9pm on ITV1.
