Mark Wright: The jungle helped me get over Lauren
05/12/2011 - 16:34

Mark Wright has said taking part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! helped him to get over ex Lauren Goodger.
The Only Way Is Essex couple had been engaged but had a dramatic split in August. And after roughing it in the Australian jungle on the ITV1 reality show, Mark told The Sun he has moved on.
Mark said: "The jungle has helped me get over Lauren.
"That is behind me and in the past. She is a special person in my life, but right now I want to be on my own. I am looking forward to the future.
"The jungle could have gone one of two ways for me - I could have gone in there and thought, 'I want her back'. But it didn't, it did the opposite and I realised I had made the right decision and I want to move on."
The 24-year-old Essex lad insists there is no future for him with Australian model Emily Scott, with whom he flirted in the jungle.
He said: "Emily is a lovely person and a very pretty girl, but there is no romantic interest there for me and I am not interested in starting a relationship with her.
"When you are in the jungle you have a bit of a friendly flirt, but that is as far as it went.
"I am single and want to be on my own. I won't deny she is a good catch but that is not how I feel about her."
