Peter Andre seeks an 'amicable' divorce

Peter Andre has said he wants an amicable divorce for the sake of his children.

The singer and estranged wife Katie Price - aka Jordan - are parents to son Junior, who is four on Saturday, 23-month-old daughter Princess Tiaamii and seven-year-old son Harvey, whose biological father is footballer Dwight Yorke.

Peter told The Daily Mirror: "Kate and I have three beautiful children. And so for them, I want to keep things as amicable as possible."

"I love spending time with the kids, I would see them 24/7 if I could. So I don't want to get into a public slanging match with Kate. I just want us to be good parents."

The 36-year-old singer is currently on tour in China and said his music is helping him cope with the split.

He said: "The past four weeks have been the worst of my life. It was hell. No matter what happens, you never stop loving someone. Initially I couldn't even have thought about work - my head was everywhere. It still is everywhere.

"But it's been a month now and I know I've got to start pulling myself together.

"Finally, I am beginning to smile again. It's not like I'm a bundle of joy now, but it's getting better. I'm even cracking terrible jokes!"

Meanhwile, Katie is planning to enter pro-eventing equestrian contests after splashing out £15,000 on a new horse.

The 31-year-old horse lover - who has her own equestrian range - has purchased five-year-old steed Jordan's Major Max, according to The Sun.
