Peter Andre voted No 1 hero; Katie No 1 villain

Peter Andre and Katie Price have been named the biggest hero and villain of 2009 in a Virgin Media poll.

The showbiz couple split in May, and while glamour model Katie was photographed out partying and started dating again, singer Pete stayed single and said he was concentrating on his kids and his music.

Peter has now been named the Number One Hero of the Year in virginmedia.com's poll of Heroes and Villains of 2009, while Katie was voted the Villain of the Year.

Jo Wood, who split from Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and tried her best on Strictly Come Dancing came second in the hero top 10, while her friend, supermodel Kate Moss was voted second in the villain poll.

Leona Lewis, who was slapped in the face at a book signing, and Rihanna, who has spoken out about the physical attack she suffered from then-boyfriend Chris Brown, have also been voted heroes.

Kanye West, who interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards to say Beyonce should have won instead, has been voted a villain, along with Keisha Buchanan from the Sugababes, who left the band this year.

Other heroes on the list include Dermot O'Leary, Susan Boyle, Cheryl Cole and Alesha Dixon, while Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Louis Walsh and, perhaps surprisingly, Robert Pattinson have all been voted villains.
