Danny Jones booted off Popstar To Operastar
05/02/2010 - 22:45

McFly's Danny Jones has become the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from ITV1s Popstar To Operastar, after losing out in the public vote.
Jones had been saved by the judges over Jimmy Osmond in the previous week's show but on this occasion his luck ran out when he found himself in the bottom two alongside Marcella Detroit.
However once again the judges' vote was split, with two voting to save Detroit and the other two voting to save Jones.
For the third time this series the result was decided on the public vote - with Jones revealed as the singer who had polled the fewest number of votes from viewers.
However he accepted defeat graciously "I've had so much fun," he said afterwards. "I've learnt a lot, and I'm going on holiday."
Jones' departure now means that just one male singer, Darius Campbell, remains in the competition alongside Detroit, Kym Marsh and Bernie Nolan.
Next week's semi-final will see one more celebrity leave the competition for good, leaving three to battle it out for the chance to be crowned series winner.
