So You Think You Can Dance

Trans-Atlantic telly lovely Cat Deeley returns to kick off the search for Britain's best dancer, as the international award-winning series So You Think You Can Dance returns to Saturday nights on BBC One.
So You Think You Dance follows thousands of hopefuls from the initial auditions across the UK to the live studio shows, as they try to impress the judges for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to dance on the final of the US version, plus 100,000 pounds' prize money.
After helming seven series of the hit show in the US, Nigel Lythgoe returns to head the judging panel alongside renowned choreographer (and former Strictly Come Dancing judge) Arlene Phillips, dance/choreographer Sisco Gomez and presenter and former singer Louise Redknapp.
They will be putting the hopefuls through their paces as they showcase their unique takes on hip-hop, Latin, contemporary, commercial, jazz and free style, all hoping to make it into the Lucky Top 20. The top 10 men and 10 women who make it through both the auditions and the Choreography Camp get to strut their stuff in front of the nation, live on BBC One every Saturday night.
Each week they'll tackle a new dance routine created by world-renowned choreographers, struggling as they step out of their comfort zones.
But it's not just the judges these wannabe stars will have to impress, as viewers will have the ultimate power to vote for their favourite dancer - and for two contestants each week (one man and one woman) the journey will end.
The results programme is also an opportunity for dancers to show off their skills in a captivating weekly group performance.
