Bethany Rose and Lee B miss out on 'Dance' final

Bethany Rose Harrison and Lee Bridgman have missed out on the So You Think You Can Dance 2011 final after losing out in the semi-final dance-off.

The pair found themselves competing against fellow performers Luke Jackson and Katie Love for the last two spots in the final - but their luck ran out after the judges chose to send them both home.

"You're both unique dancers and we love you both," Nigel Lythgoe told Lee and Luke, "but we have to send somebody home and our decision is unanimous."

To the girls he said, "You two are the two we would like to see in the final but the public have voted and we have to remember it is Britain's Favourite Dancer, not best."

Aftewards Bethany Rose - who had been in the bottom two for the past four weeks - thanked the judges "for making my dreams come true".

Lee said of his own time on the show, "I came on this show to prove you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and I hope that's what I've done.

Their departure now means that Katie and Luke will compete against Kirsty Swain and Matt Flint - who won through on the public vote - in next Saturday's final.

The winner will take home £50,000 and be given the chance to perform in Hollywood as well as winning the title of Britain's Favourite Dancer.
