Leon is voted off Soapstar

Hollyoaks In The City actor Leon Lopez lost Tuesday's public vote and exited Soapstar Superstar.

In his second ublic vote (he survived on Sunday), Leon lost to his Hollyoaks co-star Gemma Atkinson.

Emotional as ever, Leon grabbed Soapstar Superstar host Zoe Ball’s microphone and apologised to viewers for his outburst the previous night before adding, “I want to say thank you so much to everybody. “You don’t know how much the competition’s meant to me and how much your support has meant.”

Before the results were given, Leon told the cameras that even if he didn’t have the chance to perform on stage again, he proved everything he had to prove and would look back and say he’d done his best.

Great news for Soapstar producers, as bookies have been taking substantial bets on the talent show at the expense of Celebrity Big Brother, where the Jade factor is continuing to be a turn-off.

Leon exited despite being a favourite with the judges
