Alesha hints at 'Strictly' departure

Alesha Dixon has hinted that she might not rejoin the judging panel of Strictly Come Dancing next year, according to The Sun.

The paper reports that Dixon - who replaced Arlene Phillips as a judge this year - has not confirmed she will feature in the next series, and may choose instead to focus on her music career.

"I'd like to," she said at the launch of her new jewellery range in London. "But there's talk of me going to America to promote my album, so I'll take each day as it comes."

Arlene's dismissal from the show earlier this year caused a huge outcry among fans, with Dixon bearing the brunt of the backlash.

A BBC spokesman said that "nothing is confirmed" with regards to the judging panel for the next series.
