Is Goldie heading to Strictly Come Dancing?

Actor and musician Goldie is the latest celeb tipped to join the line-up of Strictly Come Dancing 2010, according to the papers.

The News Of The World reports that show bosses are looking to sign up the former EastEnders star - who is known for being outspoken - as part of their plans to spice up the show.

And the paper claims that the 44-year-old has been briefed to take on the panel of celebrity judges, including the notoriously catty Craig Revel Horwood.

"Goldie is renowned as one of the mouthiest names in showbiz," an insider said. "If you're looking for someone rough and ready, who's not afraid to speak his mind, he's your man.

"We need to spice up the show a bit as we try to claw back some ground we lost last year on The X Factor."

Other celebrities tipped to take part include actress Felicity Kendal, former MP Anne Widdecombe, singer Michelle Williams, Holby City star Patsy Kensit and Charlotte Church's ex-fiance Gavin Henson.

Former Corrie star Tina O'Brien and ex-EastEnder Robert Kazinsky are also among celebrities rumoured to have signed up for the show, which begins on October 4.

A launch show, in which the contestants are revealed and meet their professional partners, will be screened on September 11.
