Kimberley Walsh denies 'Strictly' rumours

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has denied rumours that she will be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Kimberley - who sprang to fame on the 2002 series Popstars The Rivals
"I won't be on Strictly Come Dancing this year," she revealed. "Maybe I would at some point, but at the moment I'm not quite ready to put myself back into the glare of reality television."

"Obviously I've been there before and it's quite a hard thing to do and I admire them."

However Kimberley - who is currently presenting TV show Suck My Pop on music channel Viva - admitted she fancies expanding into acting.

"I have trained in it and done a bit over the years and it'd be nice to revisit it if it was the right thing to do and see if I could still do it and it was still a challenge," she said.

"I think I would enjoy that. It would be nice to play someone completely different to myself."
