Loose Woman Lynda is terrified of Strictly dancing

Lynda Bellingham has revealed that she is 'terrified' of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing ', claiming that her confidence is very low.

The Loose Women regular and star of the 1980s Oxo adverts will appear on the hit show with dancing partner Darren Bennett later in September.

The 61-year-old told Yours magazine magazine: "I felt very flattered and thrilled I had got the job and had not been rejected. That was lovely.

“But within half an hour I was thinking, 'I can't do it - they'll find out'."

Although she explained that the sequined costumes and long gloves suited her size 14 costume and gave her more confidence, she added: "The idea of being myself out there terrified me, I don't have a lot of self worth."

Lynda has revealed that despite having lessons when she was a child, she is most nervous about the jive.

She said: "I could never do it as a girl. I dreaded anyone asking me, because I couldn't let them take control, but hopefully Darren will take the lead.

“It was so uncool not to be able to do the jive in my youth - I don't want to visit that spot again - certainly not in front of millions of viewers."
