Miranda Hart to judge Strictly?
05/01/2012 - 14:02

Miranda Hart could be in the running to join the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel, it has been reported.
Alesha Dixon has left the show to join Britain's Got Talent and while former judge Arlene Philips, former winner Kara Tointon and ballerina Darcey Bussell are all being tipped to join Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood on the panel next series, a BBC source has told the Daily Mail that producers are considering Miranda.
The insider said: "The producers want someone really startling.
"Miranda is seen as a brilliant left-field choice. She totally loves the show and is incredibly popular with the viewing public.
"We think she could bring something completely different to the panel because of her wit."
The 39-year-old actress and comedian - who often jokes about her 6ft 1in frame - has already tried her hand at teaching dance in a spoof episode of Pineapple Dance Studios for Comic Relief last year.
