Strictly Come Dancing: Week Six!
25/10/2008 - 21:40

The 11 remaining couples in series six of Strictly Come Dancing have taken to the floor once again, performing either a Paso Doble or Viennese Waltz.
And this week the selection of dances drew a mixed response from the judges. First on to the floor were Lisa Snowdown and Brendan Cole dancing a feisty Paso Doble to the 80s hit Eye Of The Tiger.
The pair received good reviews from the panel, who cited it as their best performance to date, and ended up with a score of 29.
And it was better news for both GMTV presenter Andrew Castle and singer Heather Small, both of whom had failed to impress the judges in recent weeks.
"This is the dance for you," Arlene Phillips told Heather, who went on to score 27 points, her highest so far this series, for her Viennese Waltz . Castle, meanwhile, was praised for his "improvement", and scored 24 points.
However it was left to series favourites Austin Healy, Rachel Stevens and Tom Chambers to dominate the top end of the scoreboard.
Rugby star Healy wowed the judges with his Viennese waltz. "It was smooth and light," Bruno told him. "I couldn't take my eyes off you." The pair scored an impressive 34 points for their performance.
Stevens and Chambers tied on 32 points while Cherie Lunghi was just behind on 31 for her Viennese waltz.
But it was a disappointing week for One Show presenter Christine Bleakley, who received her lowest score yet, as well as journalist John Sergeant, who only just scraped past the halfway mark with 21 points for his Paso Doble.
And Mark Foster - who is the favourite to be eliminated on Sunday - was left trailing with just 16 points for his dance, described by Craig as looking like "a stick insect on acid".
The results will be revealed on Sunday night's show.
