Apprentice's Kate to join GMTV

The Apprentice runner-up Kate Walsh will be back on screens soon after being offered a slot on GMTV, according to the papers.

The Sun reports that the 27-year-old - who came second to series champion Yasmina Siadatan - will appear on Monday's show with Lorraine Kelly, co-hosting a feature about what women should wear to the office in the summer.

And Kate is hoping that it will lead to more regular appearances on the breakfast show.

"Kate is desperate to get a career in telly," a source told the paper. "She did a screen test for GMTV and they liked her."

"The plan is for her to do some stuff with Lorraine and then get something regular."

Earlier this week Kate was at the London premiere of the blockbuster Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, along with boyfriend Philip Taylor.

However the pair, whose romance blossomed while they were filming The Apprentice, scotched rumours of wedding bells.

"It is early days," Kate said. "It would be a bit too soon to be thinking about walking down the aisle.
