Carol and Fiona signed up for The Apprentice

Countdown's maths genius Carol Vorderman and GMTV host Fiona Phillips will head up the female contestants in a celebrity version of The Apprentice.
According to reports in the Daily Mirror, the two presenters will lead female teams for Sir Alan Sugar to raise millions for Comic Relief on March 13, 2009.
Carol, 47, finishes filming Countdown next month and appears on screen until December. Fiona, also 47, will host GMTV until December 19. Both presenters have quit their jobs this year.
A source said: "Both have had plenty of offers but the only one they have taken so far is The Apprentice.
"They don't have to go through Sir Alan's tough interviews but they have to impress him by raising cash for charity.
"It will be interesting to see Sir Alan going head-to-head with them in the boardroom. And Carol's maths expertise should come in handy if the task involves sales."
Also thought to be in the line-up for the female team is actress and model Liz Hurley, while the men are spearheaded by chat-show host Jonathan Ross and comedian Alan Carr.
Last year's Comic Relief Does The Apprentice featured Cheryl Cole, Jo Brand, TV's Piers Morgan and Ross Kemp. No winner was declared at the time, but Sir Alan later admitted he would have hired Cheryl.
