Cher Lloyd to marry hairdresser boyfriend

Cher Lloyd has got engaged to her boyfriend after less than a year together.

The singer, whose debut single went straight to the top of the charts last year, will marry hairdresser Craig Monk.

The 18-year-old started dating Craig, 21, last April. Last month she denied he had popped the question after she was spotted flashing what appeared to be an engagement ring.

Cher was a finalist in the 2010 X Factor and was signed by Syco Music after coming fourth in the ITV1 talent show.

Her second single, With Ur Love, went to number four in the charts.

She recently called for Government intervention to halt online bullying after she received a death threat via Twitter in response to a birthday message she posted for her mother.
