Cheryl: 'I want to break the US with Girls Aloud'
13/08/2009 - 12:53

Cheryl Cole has revealed she wants to make her name with Girls Aloud across the pond.
The Girls Aloud star and X Factor judge admitted she would love to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham and make it big in America.
She told OK: "I think any artist would like to break America, if you break there, you can break anywhere - it's a big, big deal and a lot different to us."
But despite similarities between her career and that of Posh Spice, Cheryl was keen to distinguish Girls Aloud from the 90s chart-toppers.
"I'd like the success of breaking America, but we're not the Spice Girls - we're not musically like them, we don't look like them," she said.
The 26-year-old said the band were asked the truth about split rumours 'all the time', but responded: "We know it's a question people have to ask, but do they really think we're going to go, 'Well actually we're splitting up next week!'"
