Mariah Carey eyes judge's job on American Idol
12/08/2010 - 11:31

Mariah Carey has been eyeing up the empty seats left by judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres in American Idol, her husband Nick Cannon has said.
The musical diva, who appeared as a guest mentor in 2008, has even spoken about it.
"She talks about it, she says, 'I would love to do that'," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
Nick reckoned Mariah would be perfect for the role of judge, but claimed her hectic working diary could get in the way.
"She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great," he said.
"I don't know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do Idol."
