Robbie Williams will appear on The X Factor

Robbie Williams has confirmed he will appear in the new series of The X Factor, although in what capacity it isn't yet known.
The Sun reported on Thursday that Madonna and Robbie Williams were on the wish list for the new series, with choreographer Brian Friedman apparently letting slip that Simon Cowell wants them to act as mentors to the finalists in the live shows.
His appearance was confirmed in the news section of Robbie's website, with the following message: "You may have read news this morning about Robbie appearing on the new series of The X Factor. Well, we're very excited to tell you that this is true!
"Details are still being finalised so make sure you stay tuned for further announcements. As soon as we're able to tell you more we'll let you know right here."
