Simon Cowell splits from girlfriend Terri

Simon Cowell has split up with his girlfriend of six years, TV presenter Terri Seymour, according to the papers.

The Mirror reports that The X Factor judge and TV presenter Seymour had been drifting apart for the past two months.

And speculation mounted after she failed to attend the National Television Awardsearlier this week, where Cowell received the Special Recognition prize. Instead, he turned up in the company of ex-girlfriend Sinitta.

Seymour is reported to have told friends, "We've split up. It's very sad but we decided to go our separate ways. It just wasn't working out between us."

The pair are said to have fallen out over Seymour's desire to marry and have a family - neither of which Cowell wants.

"I have known his thoughts on marriage and babies from the beginning," she said. "He doesn't want kids, full stop. But I would love to have a baby in the future, definitely."

However, the pair have apparently parted on amicable terms and remain friends - the Mirror reports that Cowell has bought Seymour a house in Los Angeles as a parting gift.
