X Factor's Louis tells Dannii: 'I'm so sorry'

Peace has broken out among The X Factor judges, with Louis Walsh 'clearing the decks' with Dannii Minogue by apologising for past attacks.

The Sun reports Dannii saying: ""We've cleared the deck. Louis was very sweet on the first day of work this year. He said, 'I'm so sorry - please don't let me do that again'.

"It's nice now to see the side of him everyone else knows."

The Irish judge's insults included claiming the ex-soap and pop star couldn't sing.

But before filming began on the latest series of The X Factor, Louis tracked Dannii down to admit he'd behaved badly.

Now Dannii says: "There's a really good vibe between us.

"We've been having a giggle this year. I hope it stays that way."

In return, Dannii has helped Louis cope with the live audiences at the auditions.

"Louis was freaking out. I had to keep giving him cuddles to calm him down. Even though he's done the live shows, that's not his comfort zone."

The X Factor returns to ITV1 in late August.
