Best actor Danny wants happiness for Aaron (VIDEO)

Emmerdale's Danny Miller, best actor winner at the British Soap Awards, hopes his character Aaron is about to find some overdue happiness.

Aaron's in the middle of a heart-wrenching storyline in which his tetraplegic boyfriend Jackson (Marc Silcock) wants to die.

While Danny says it's been great working with Marc, he told whatsontv.co.uk at the soap awards: "I'd like to see a bit of happiness at some point. Not necessarily with another partner... But someone bringing a bit of happiness into his life. And maybe seeing a few smiles now and again."

Danny, 20, would certainly have been smiling when he awarded best actor over EastEnders' Shane Richie, Hollyoaks' Emmett J Scanlan and Coronation Street's Chris Gascoyne. The awards screen on ITV1 on Wednesday evening.
