Chris Fountain: Kissing Michelle Keegan is awkward

Coronation Street actor Chris Fountain has admitted that he finds it awkward kissing co-star Michelle Keegan during their scenes together, due to her engagement to The Wanted's Max George.

The 24-year-old who plays Tommy Duckworth, has recently been in a plotline which sees him trying to romance Michelle's character, barmaid Tina McIntyre.

But he said of their scenes, "It's awkward, because Michelle's with Max and I've got a girlfriend too. Hopefully Max doesn't find it too hard to watch.

"Michelle and I have talked about his music videos where he has to dance with other girls," Chris added, "so it's the same when we're on set acting."

However the actor - who is dating dancer Jessica Derrick - revealed that filming intimate scenes with Michelle was not easy in spite of their offscreen relationships.

"When you're snogging someone on set, there's about 50 people watching," he said. "So it's the least sexy thing and a massive turn-off."
