Corrie plot "will educate people", says Roache

Coronation Street star Linus Roache has said he hopes his current storyline in the soap will help educate people who hold bigoted views.
Linus - the real-life son of Corrie star William Roache - plays Ken Barlow's long-lost son Lawrence, who is unable to tolerate his son James's homosexuality.
"There are a lot of people that hold these views," the actor said.
"This is holding the mirror up to the way that things are and you can see those views for what they are.
Hopefully it will educate some people out of it."
Linus' half-brother James plays the part of his son in the soap, which sees Ken trying to heal the rift between the two characters.
"It's got all the perspectives in the story," Linus said. "I play a particular function and in the end I'm the one that loses out because of my bigotry."
