Corrie's Helen: 'I want Rosie to find love'

Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan wants her minx-like alter ego Rosie Webster to get into a loving relationship.

The actress wants to see if being in love would make the character softer.

She said: "It would be nice to see her have a proper boyfriend and be in a relationship again - she's not had a proper boyfriend since Craig Harris (Richard Fleeshman)."

She went on: "It would be really interesting for her to be in love and in a loving relationship, to see if that changed her and made her softer."

Rosie, who harbours ambitions of being a glamour model, knows how to get men in a spin with her daring wardrobe.

She recently caught the eye of loveable Graeme Proctor, played by Craig Gazey, and the actress said there's an exciting twist coming up for the two of them.

"I can't say too much, but I get to do something which is just brilliant - it was so much fun filming it. I don't think Craig thought it was that much fun as I did though!" she said.

Helen is backing the Government's Fire Kills campaign, urging people to test their smoke alarms every week.

She said: "It's scary how quickly a house fire can spread and in so many cases, it's the smoke alarm that can make the difference between someone being able to escape in time, or not.

"We will be testing our smoke alarms every week from now on."
