Corrie's Tupele criticises bosses over exit

Coronation Street star Tupele Dorgu has hit out at show bosses over her low-key exit from the soap, according to the papers.

The 32-year-old was seen in Weatherfield for the final time on Friday, with her character Kelly Crabtree leaving in tears after being fired from Underworld.

"I would have liked my last scene to have been more dramatic," Tupele told The Sun.

"When I chose to leave they said they were already so far along in storylines there was only so much they could do."

"Kelly wasn't heavily involved with a lot of people so it was easier to do that."

Tupele is one of a number of soap stars taking part in Sunday's Soap Star Mile Challenge for Sport Relief along London's Embankment.

EastEnders stars Melissa Suffield and John Altman, Hollyoaks' Anthony Quinlan and Emmerdale's Sophie Powles are also among those taking part.
