Michelle: 'My kiss with Ben was nerve-racking'

Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan has admitted she was nervous about kissing newcomer Ben Price - because she recognised him from the telly.

The actress's alter ego Tina McIntyre will share a drunken smooch with Ben's character Nick Tilsley, despite being in a relationship with Jason Grimshaw.

Michelle told New! magazine: "It was quite nerve-racking at first - I used to watch him in Footballers' Wives, so I was a little bit nervous."

She added, however, that kissing scenes don't tend to bother her any more because she's used to them.

"It's not a real kiss so it doesn't count. It definitely feels different from when you are kissing your boyfriend!"

After her booze-fuelled transgression, Tina will be mortified to discover the man she was kissing is the brother of her ex, David Platt, when she turns up at the Platts' on Christmas Day.

"He finds it amusing, but Tina is gutted she's cheated on Jason because she really loves him," she said.
