Coronation Street is helping Argentinian footballer Carlos Tevez to learn English, according to reports.
A source told The Sun that the Manchester City player is "coming on in leaps and bounds" by paying attention to the soap.
Speaking about his love of Corrie, Carlos told Football Punk magazine: "I like it - I don't understand some things because of the language, but it seems very good."
A source close to Carlos told The Sun: "Carlos finds it difficult learning English. But he's coming on in leaps and bounds now he's watching Corrie, although he doesn't quite get the dialect yet.
"By the end of the season we're hoping he'll be able to do away with the translator. Let's just hope he doesn't pick up the accent, or the team won't understand HIM."
The 25-year-old's City team mate Robinho also reportedly learned the language by watching the show.
