Bobbing in and out of Weatherfield at his own convenience, builder Bill Webster (Peter Armitage) likes to have his cake and eat it, especially where women are concerned!

1984 Widower Bill Webster buys No11 Coronation Street from Elsie Tanner and moves in with his son Kevin and daughter Debbie. Rents Len Fairclough's builder's yard.
1985 Marries Percy Sugden's niece Elaine Prior and moves away to Southampton with daughter Debbie. During his time away, Elaine gives birth to their son Carl.
1995 Returns to Weatherfield following his split from Elaine. Accidentally sets fire to Sally and Kevin's kitchen at No13.
1996 Starts a building business with Jim McDonald.
1997 Has an affair with Maureen, who moves to Germany with him just days after her marriage to Fred Elliott.
1998 Marries Maureen.
2006 Returns to Weatherfield and has an affair with widow Audrey Roberts. Maureen turns up at Christmas and David Platt tells her about Bill's infidelity.
2007 Buys the late Charlie Stubbs' builders' yard with a loan from Audrey and works with Jason Grimshaw. Moves in with Audrey.
2008 Audrey dumps him after a disastrous booze run to France.
2009 Audrey wants her money back. Starts a relationship with Pam Hobsworth, Molly Dobbs' aunt.
2010 Is forced to sell his builder's yard to rival Owen after he wins the contract to rebuild Underworld after it burns to the ground. Finds out that his son Kevin is the father of Molly's baby Jack. Has a bust-up with Tyrone at Molly's funeral after he discovers Bill knew about the affair.
