Chesney Battersby-Brown
Son of absentee mum Cilla, Chesney Battersby-Brown (Sam Aston) is continually let down by those he looks to for support and guidance.
2003 Found home alone by sister Fiz Brown. Mum is dating Les Battersby, who agrees to take him in.
2004 Cuffed by Rita Sullivan in The Kabin while stealing sweets and Cilla sues for compensation. Cilla cheats on Les and abandons Chesney yet again. Les takes him in. Gets a Great Dane and calls it Schmeichel. Cilla moves back in.
2005 Lives with Roy and Hayley Cropper while mum and Les go to Spain for a few weeks. Mum marries Les.
2006 Asks Les to adopt him after Cilla reveals she can't remember who his real dad is. Furious with Les after discovering he cheated on Cilla, and furious with Cilla after discovering she lied about having terminal cancer!
2007 Devastated when Les leaves and Cilla moves to Las Vegas. Kirk Sutherland becomes his guardian and is hopeless.
2008 Sister Fiz rescues him from Social Services and moves in with him at No5. In a Corrie special, he goes to visit mum in Africa, only to be let down by her again.
2009 Reacts angrily to Fiz's engagement to jailbird John Stape, but eventually gives his blessing.
2010 Starts going out with Katie Aamstrong, much to the displeasure of her dad, Owen.
