Darryl Morton
Totally lacks energy and ambition, but Darryl Morton (Jonny Dixon) is a likeable layabout.
2007 Arrives at No6 Coronation Street in March with dad Jerry, twin sister Mel, older sister Jodie, younger sister Kayleigh and half-brother Finlay. Sleeps in a summerhouse in the garden. He and Mel are given a car to share on their 18th birthday in April. Asks David Platt to stash some Ecstasy tablets for a friend, which nearly kill Bethany Platt.
2008 Dates Lauren Wilson, sister of barmaid Violet, but his wallet's not big enough for her and she dumps him. Dad has a heart attack. Struggles to run kebab shop after dad moves to Spain. Dev Alahan buys shop and makes him manager. Starts dating Amber Kalirai, Dev's daughter.
2009 Finishes with Amber when she goes to a London university. Eventually quits Weatherfield after a run-in with Dev and heads to Spain to meet up with his family.
