Fiz Stape
Flame-haired machinist Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) tries to do the right thing by those she cares for, but often lets her heart rule her head.
2001 Causes trouble for Hayley and Roy Cropper when they briefly foster her. Returns to live in Coronation Street after getting a job at knicker factory.
2002 Falls for Kirk Sutherland and is initially embarrassed about it!
2003 Unhappy when Les Battersby starts dating her estranged mum Cilla. Shares a Christmas kiss with Tyrone.
2004 Splits from Kirk and sleeps with Tyrone. Turns down proposals from both Tyrone and Kirk. Reunites with Kirk.
2005 Helps Kirk run the kennels. Old school rival Molly Compton starts work and attempts to split them up.
2006 Horrified when she discovers that Cilla lied about being terminally ill.
2007 Her first love John Stape becomes a teacher at Weatherfield Comp. She dumps Kirk for John. On Christmas Day, she discovers John's affair with student Rosie Webster.
2008 Goes to visit mum Cilla in Africa in a Corrie special. Takes on care of brother Chesney. Forgives John and they rekindle their romance, but he abducts Rosie so she can't ruin his relationship with Fiz again. Fiz discovers this and is heartbroken.
2009 Sees John jailed for kidnapping Rosie. Starts visiting John in prison. They get engaged.
2010 Marries John, despite learning about his double identity. Against her better judgement, she decides to let him carry on his pretence of being Colin Fishwick. But after an argument she leaves on a holiday, returning a little later to reveal she's carrying their baby. Gives birth to Hope, three months' premature, after the trauma of the tram crash and explosion.
