Builder Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas) isn't the sharpest tool in the box and tends to be easily led astray by mates - and by strong women.
Marriages Sarah Platt (separated)
2001 Moves into Coronation Street with mum Eileen and brother Todd. Discovers rape victim Toyah Battersby in the ginnel behind his house and is briefly suspected of being her rapist.
2002 Has a bust-up with brother Todd after sleeping with Todd's girlfriend Candice Stowe.
2003 Reunited with his scrounger dad Tony, but is forced to shop him to the police when Tony steals money from Street Cars.
2004 Starts relationship with barmaid Violet Wilson.
2005 Asks Violet to move in to the Grimshaws'. Discovers that Violet has kissed his boss Charlie Stubbs and promptly dumps her - then sweet-talks brother Todd's former fiancée Sarah Platt into bed.
2006 Can't make his mind up between Violet and Sarah, but proposes to Sarah when he's faced with losing her. Jilts Sarah. Christmas surprise is a baby given to his mother by a young woman who says he's the daddy.
2007 Grows attached to baby Holly but mother returns in April and reveals father was Charlie Stubbs, who had used Jason's name for their one-night-stand. Convinces Sarah to marry him and is happy when gay half-brother Todd turns up for wedding (having initially been embarrassed by his homosexuality). Refuses to move to Italy with Sarah when he discovers she planted drugs on her brother David.
2008 Sleeps with Becky in February. Dumps Becky in October when Sarah says she wants him back. She then changes her mind.
2009 Begins divorce proceedings with Sarah. Proposes to Becky but loses out to Steve McDonald. In June, begins relationship with Tina McIntyre. They start a property development business, buying flat above The Kabin. A drunk Jason is made Mr Gay Weatherfield!
2010 Splits up with Tina and moves out. Becomes a hero when he rescues Simon Barlow and the Peacock kids from the fire at No 12.
