John Stape
Possibly the least obvious babe magnet in soap world, yet in one year John Stape (Graeme Hawley) had vamp Rosie Webster lusting after him, plus her mum Sally, sister Sophie and Fiz Brown!
2007 John Stape is introduced as the teacher Sophie Webster has a crush on. Meets former girlfriend Fiz Brown and they start dating again. Gives Sally Webster private lessons in English Literature and she fancies him. Begins a torrid affair with student Rosie Webster. Is attacked by Kevin Webster and dumped by Fiz when his affair with Rosie is revealed at Christmas.
2008 Becomes a driver for Street Cars in order to be near Fiz. She forgives him. Locks Rosie in the attic of his grandmother's house while he reconciles with Fiz. She finds Rosie and he's arrested.
2009 Jailed for two years but Fiz visits. Gives Rosie £150,000 to compensate for locking her up. Plans to marry Fiz in prison.
2010 Desperate to get back into teaching he assumes the identity of former teacher Colin Fishwick. But his plan is uncovered by Charlotte Hoyle, who blackmails him into a relationship. Colin shows up beaten, as a result of John's strategy. Colin has a heart attack after a row with John and Charlotte and John dispose of his body. Thinks he may have got away with murder when he's able to pass off Charlotte's death at his hands as a by-product of the tram crash. Fiz gives birth to his daughter, Hope.

Born 28 November 1973, Graeme Hawley has a degree in Drama from Manchester Metropolitan University. He had small parts in Emmerdale, Shameless and A Touch of Frost before taking on the role of John Stape in Coronation Street.
