Kirk Sutherland

A comedy character, Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) believes he's a babe magnet and rarely realises when the joke's on him - which it often is!

2000 Attends younger sister Maria's engagement party to Tyrone Dobbs.

2001 Catches Tyrone in a clinch with Fiz Brown.

2002 Loses his virginity to older woman Carol in Blackpool. Beds Fiz and they start dating.

2004 Thinks that Fiz slept with Tyrone and dumps her. Later vies with Tyrone to win her back. Steals an engagement ring for Fiz but gives himself up and receives a caution.

2005 Takes over the kennels when his parents move to Spain. New kennel maid Molly tries to seduce him.

2007 Has to sell the business when he mistakenly lets a vet castrate a pedigree dog. Proposes to Fiz; she dumps him. Rescues Claire Peacock from house fire. Cilla Battersby-Brown leaves son Chesney in his care when she moves to Las Vegas. He fails as a guardian and Fiz has to move in.

2008 Part of the Coronation Street Special, Out of Africa. Visits parents in Cyprus and returns with new girlfriend Julie Carp.

2009 Ends relationship with Julie.

Andrew was born in 1980 and was brought up in Bolton in Lancashire. He started acting as a young boy and attended the Oldham Theatre Workshop and also studied at the Laine Johnson Theatre School.
