Bev Callard

Born Beverley Jane Moxon on 28 March 1957, Bev grew up in Leeds, the daughter of concert pianist Mavis and master baker Clive. Bev married first love Paul Atkinson when she was just 16 and they had a daughter, Rebecca, who was born two years later in 1976. Their marriage didn't last and Bev went on to marry second hubby David Sowden when Rebecca was still little. At around the same time, Bev got her first big break on TV playing Angie Richards in Emmerdale.
Her relationship with David later ended in divorce, but she went on to marry third husband Steve Callard and won the role of Liz in Coronation Street. The couple had a son, Josh, in 1990.
After leaving Coronation Street in 1998, Bev moved to Spain with Steve and Josh but by 2000 Bev had split from Steve and she returned to Britain. After Coronation Street, she won a reputation as a fitness guru, as well as starring in several TV series including The Peter Principle and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps plus guest spots in Casualty and The Bill.
Bev was tempted back to Coronation Street for brief stints in 2003 and 2004, but moved back to the Street permanently in 2005. Bev's daughter Rebecca is also a successful actress and Bev is grandma to Rebecca's little boy Sonny, who was born in 2006.
