2006 Moves to Weatherfield with mum Michelle when uncles Paul and Liam buy the local factory. Sprays graffiti on The Kabin and is caught by Norris Cole.
2007 Discovers his mum's new bloke, Sonny Dhillon, is secretly seeing Sean Tully. Goes joyriding in Sonny's car and a furious Paul slaps him. It later emerges that Ryan's late dad, Dean, died in a car crash caused by Paul. Moves into The Rovers when his mum gets involved with Steve McDonald. Is worried when a strange man starts following him.
2008 Discovers his stalker is his biological father and he was accidentally swapped at birth. Is jealous of the time Michelle spends with her biological son, Alex Neeson and moves in with Liam and his wife Maria. Moves back in with mum when she decides that he's her son as she raised him since birth. Devastated by Liam's death.
2009 Thumps Steve for cheating on his mum. Starts dating Sian Powers.
2010 Gets back together with Sian after she returns to Weathefield, but they split when she becomes jealous that he's seeing another girl. Later tries to kiss Sophie, unaware she's with Sian!
