Sophie Webster
A friendlier, cheekier girl than her vampish sister, but Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) still knows how to get into trouble!
1994 Born on 4 November and initially called Lauren. Sister Rosie insists she's more of a Sophie, so parents Sally and Kevin change her name.
1999 Held hostage by her mum Sally's scary ex-lover, Greg Kelly, but released without harm.
2004 Enjoys the company of her imaginary friend Ebony Rae.
2005 Passes nits on to Janice Battersby, who has to have her head shaved.
2006 Becomes friends with Chesney Battersby-Brown. Finds the late battleaxe Ivy Brennan's diary and pretends she's clairvoyant by revealing information from the locals' pasts! Gives diary to David Platt, who was Ivy's grandson and he discovers his mother considered aborting him.
2007 Gets Norris Cole thinking her mum has a crush on him. Is jealous when her favourite teacher John Stape dates Fiz Brown.
2008 With sister Rosie missing (abducted by John Stape), Sophie wants some attention and writes postcards to her parents saying 'Sophie's next'. Eventually confesses the truth.
2009 Still desperate for attention, she pretends to be pregnant and, again, has to confess she's lying. Starts dating Christian Ben Richardson and declares she has taken a vow of chastity. Dumps Ben for showing too much interest in Rosie.
2010 Develops a crush on schoolmate Sian Powers, but it's not reciprocated... when she first tries to kiss her. But persistence pays off when Sian eventually develops feelings for Sophie. But their relationship is traumatic, with both sets of parents being wildly opposed. The girls run away, but Sophie returns when she's bothered by a sex pest. Sally reluctantly lets them stay at the Websters' when Sian's parents turn their backs on her.
