2003 Meets Les over the bar of the Weatherfield Arms and lures him into bed when he lies that he's a record producer.
2004 Walks out on Les – and Chesney – over an affair with her ex-lover Ronnie. Returns to Weatherfield to find Les reunited with his ex-wife Janice but wins back Les by pretending to be an heiress!
2005 Asks Les to propose so they can get some new gear as wedding presents. Organises a sham wedding at a church, but later marries Les for real at a register office.
2006 Contracts skin cancer and pretends it has become malignant to get back at Les for his affair with Best friend Yana.
Born on 29 February 1968 and brought up near Blackburn in Lancashire, Wendi started her career with roles in touring productions of musicals such as Guys and Dolls and Hello Dolly.
She later made the move to TV and had a memorable role in ITV’s Bad Girls as evil inmate Pam ‘Podger’ Jolly. The actress’s early musical training later stood her in good stead when she appeared in ITV’s celebrity talent show Soap Star Superstar.
Wendi currently lives in Hertfordshire with her actor husband Kenny Linden and their young daughter Gracie, who was conceived through IVF.
