2000 Bags herself a job at cab company Streetcars after getting a ride in one of the then bosses, Vikram Desais, cab.
2001 Dates Dennis Stringer and falls in love with him. Dennis leaves a devastated Eileen for factory worker Janice Battersby.
2003 Is shocked when Jasons runaway dad Tony gets back in touch with him. Agrees to put up Tony but soon regrets it when he steals money from Streetcars and lets her take the rap.
2004 Son Todd admits hes gay, despite being engaged to girlfriend Sarah Platt, but Eileen stands by him. Has a huge scrap with Sarahs mum Gail, the start of a long-running feud.
2005 Takes a fancy to foot fiddler Phil Nail and engineers a date. But Gails after him as well and Eileen loses out - again.
2006 Unexpectedly falls for pious ex-con Ed Jackson but discovers that he was put away for killing Emily Bishops husband. Forgives him but he leaves for the sake of Emilys feelings.

Born in London, Sue moved to Yorkshire when she was a 14 and later studied drama at Manchester Polytechnic. Sue first appeared in Coronation Street playing a nurse in 1995 and went on to star in top TV shows, including Kay Mellors Band of Gold and Victoria Woods Dinnerladies, before being asked to audition for the part of Eileen in Corrie. Sue has one son, Elliot, born in 1998.
